Looking for a vacation destination that has it all – pristine waterways, majestic mountains, resort accommodations and restaurants – but WITHOUT the big resort crowds?  Look no further than Sandpoint, Idaho.

The lack of crowds is due mainly to Sandpoint’s remoteness from dense population centers in the Northwest.  The closest major airport is Spokane International (GEG), a good 90 minute drive one-way by car.

A true four-season destination, Sandpoint two most popular season are summer – for water sports – and winter – for snow sports.

Lodging Choices

Take about resorts – bigger vs. smaller, condos, hotels, rental houses, and BandBs.

Also Nearby

Probably delete this section for Kauai since I’m already doing the whole island as one entry (for now – can expand and split later).
